A Los Angeles judge has revoked CHRIS BROWN's probation as he fights hit-and-run charges following a minor car accident in May (13).

The Kiss Kiss hitmaker stands accused of bumping into Olga Gure-Kovalenko's vehicle in Los Angeles and leaving the scene of the accident without providing the woman with his correct insurance details. He was also charged with driving without a valid California licence.

Gure-Kovalenko has decided against pursuing legal action against the singer, as she did not suffer any injuries and there was minimal damage to her car, and on Monday (15Jul13) Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, was given until next week (23Jul13) to work out an official settlement to have the criminal case dropped.

However, Brown and Geragos were back in court hours later for a hearing regarding the star's probation, relating to his 2009 assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna.

The judge overseeing that case chose to revoke the embattled singer's probation, but then released Brown on his own recognisance, rather than jail him.

He has now been ordered to return to court in August (13), when the judge will rule on whether the hit-and-run charges are in violation of the terms of his freedom.

Shortly before the probation hearing, Brown, 24, took to his blog to plead his innocence, revealing he was praying the truth will literally set him free.

He tweeted, "Pray! I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n (sic) run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!! ...I hope people can actually see the truth."

If Brown is found guilty of violating his probation, he faces up to four years in jail.
