Chocol'art's Chocolate Inspired Charity Fundraiser
Artists, designers, fashionistas, photographers and creative souls will gather later this month in Dubai at an exclusive and ticketed event to raise funds for Make-A-Wish UAE
The much anticipated ‘Chocol’art’ initiative will feature the magic ingredients of chocolate, charity and creativity to raise awareness and funding for children’s causes, with the goal of supporting 20 regional and international charities over the next five years.
The Chocol’art ‘chocolate meets art for a cause’ event will see exhibitors from the world of fashion, design, photography and art create spontaneous, unique and original works to exhibit and auction off throughout the evening, taking inspiration from this year’s theme: ‘Chocol’art at the movies!’
“We are incredibly excited to be bringing an original, fun and engaging new initiative to the UAE’s social scene and indeed across the region. Chocol’art is a unique, concept that we hope to build as a regional and global initiative. We will create a platform for the artistic community in each host city to embrace, participate and express their creativity with through our unique yearly themes,” commented Chocol’art Event Founder, Mohammed Fadlallah.
The inaugural Chocol’art event took place in Beirut, Lebanon in 2011 at Mouawad Palace in aid of the Children’s Cancer Centre of Lebanon. The event was a huge success with over eight hundred attendees.
“Our events are different, fresh and most importantly generate support for children’s causes that we are passionate about through chocolate and art,” added Ali Hashemi, Chocol’art Founder.
Around 1,000 guests are expected at the Chocol’art Dubai edition on Friday 30 March 2012 which will take place at The Towers Terrace, Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
The event is priced at Dhs275 per ticket with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish UAE. Key sponsoring partners include MINI Cooper, Sayidaty magazine, Integrity Media, Garnier, SEPHORA, Custard Communications, Kippreport, Fustany.com, Mistile and stylendubai.com.
Further Chocol’art events for 2012 are being planned in New York, Amman, Beirut, Muscat, Doha and possibly Jeddah by the end of the year.
