Following its success in Downtown, the new location boasts a ‘same-same but different’ kind of vibe. While the dining room is decorated with the familiar paper lanterns, bird cages and wooden chairs and tables, it’s more spacious. The sushi bar, lounge area and an outdoor terrace offering views of the hotel’s marina promenade, gives it a fresher perspective than its older sibling.
The menu boasts old favourites but there are a few new menu options to dig into. Wasabi prawns, pad Thai, wok-fried mains and sushi rolls are all present for those who don’t want to venture out of their comfort zone, but try the beautifully presented sesame-crusted tuna. Each cube of fresh fish is served on a cracker with a side of zingy yuzu dressing.
It’s quiet but has the potential of being a hot spot. The change in the music tempo here compared to the original introduces club-style beats to the mix and elevates the vibe to entice the cool cats of the city, so make your mark before everyone else does.
Order a curry. The yellow version with fish boasts sweet, creamy and fragrant flavours, with just enough chilli to give it a gentle kick. It’s like a hug in a bowl.

The chicken and beef skewers satay skewers. They’re deliciously succulent and coated in a sweet-spicy peanut sauce.
