Cheryl Cole Wants to Be the Next Oprah Winfrey!

30 Oct 2012

From Nobu takeaways to lofty ambitions, Cheryl Cole's diva antics hit an all-time high, despite being outsold by her band

It looks like the pop princess’ crown might be slipping! Cheryl Cole’s going all Mariah on us and we don’t like it. First, we can’t move for snippets from the Geordie star’s tell-all autobiography My Story and now Chezza’s given an interview declaring herself to be the next Oprah. Kind of. Here’s what happened.

Her Royal BFF
In a sit-down with UK magazine Style, Cheryl revealed that she now only eats Japanese food and has it delivered to her Home Counties pad from London’s Nobu. She also boasted that she’s practically BFFs with K-Middy after meeting her once. We doubt Kate feels the same though, especially after Cheryl commented on the Duchess’ topless pics. Chezza spilled to Style “We had this amazing moment [at the Royal Jubilee party]. She’s so ordinary. I mean, obviously she isn’t, because she’s a princess, but she’s so easy to get along with.” Then, when asked about the shameful snaps of Kate she added, “Disgusting. They were having a private moment and it was absolutely invaded. She does have a great pair of boobs, though, right?” TMI, Cheryl, love.

The Next Oprah?
But Cheryl’s not the only one getting carried away with herself, her manager’s second-in-command Seth Friedman’s at it too. The loose-lipped lackey, who was only supposed to listen in on Cheryl’s interview for will, revealed to the journalist who was quizzing her that Chez is set on being a megastar. Seth blabbed, “We’re talking as big as Oprah.” Hello? Earth calling Cheryl? You might want to get yourself some new staff, pet. That is one comedy quote you don’t want to get out. Oh dear, too late. Everyone heard!

Girls Aloud Splitting?
Band mate Kimberley Walsh seems just as concerned that Ms Cole’s diva behaviour could scupper the girls’ comeback as rumours start to swirl that this is the group’s last album. Cheryl herself spilled in her book, “We’ll be working on a tour and greatest hits album. Then I think that’s it for Girls Aloud.” But Kim insists, “I don’t think we’re ever going to split up. I don’t think any of us know what’s going to happen after the tour.” Hmm, it sounds like Chezza has a different agenda, but maybe she’ll change her mind after seeing that tickets sales for the Girls Aloud tour are going far better than her solo tour!
