The culinary genius who brought us our favourite local restaurants like Gaia and carine at Dubai’s Emirates Golf Club, Chef Izu, has a new restaurant opening on the horizon – Fika.
Translated as “coffee and cake break” in Swedish, Fika is a concept Izu is bringing to the recently refurbished Jumeirah Beach Hotel Dubai and well, it's definitely reason to be excited.
To the Swedes, Fika reflects a state of mind, an attitude, a cultural norm of taking a moment out of your day to enjoy the good things in life, something us Dubians could really use more of.
Chef Izu has taken his Gaia concept to Monte Carlo, after the DIFC arm became a roaring success, so you know he knows what he's talking about.
The refreshing restaurant concept, aims to create a serene vibe with its customers, where they can take a breather from work (or life in general) and enjoy a quick smoothie, light snack or leisurely meal.
The intricate details of the new restaurant are yet to be revealed, but we’re excited to see what the enthusiastic, celebrity status chef has created.
