In an attempt to salvage his failing reputation, Hollywood bad boy Charlie Sheen has offered to pay the crew of his hit TV show Two and a Half Men while the show is in hiatus as a result of his most recent stint in rehab.

The actor, who was rushed to hospital last month after a wild night of drugs and partying, forced CBS and Warner Bros. studio executives to put the show on hold until he was ready to return.

“We sincerely hope that Charlie’s rehab is going well,” said a Warner Bros. rep. “We hope that he is healthy in the very near future and we look forward to the return of production of ‘Two and a Half Men.’”

But according to reports, Charlie is unhappy that the crew have not been paid for the time off and has now offered to pay one third of their salaries if the two studios pay one third each.

In a message to his fans, he pledged, “I have a lot of work to do to be able to return the support I have received from so many people. I want to say ‘thank you’ to my fellow cast members, the crew of Two and a Half Men, and everyone at CBS and Warner Bros.”
