When it comes to fame, fortune isn’t always a given. In fact, celebrities are often declared bankrupt following a string of bad financial decisions. Fortunately for the stars on this year’s Forbes Celebrity 100 list, a string of successful ventures and good investments has paid off, big time. The entertainer claiming the coveted title of ‘highest-paid person in entertainment’ is none other than Sean Combs, also known as Puff Daddy, P Diddy or sometimes even just Diddy. The rap mogul’s assets amount to a whopping $130m. A massive chunk of this fortune is a result of him selling one-third of his Sean John clothing line for $70 million. Not bad, considering he placed 22nd on the list in 2016. According to Forbes, the 100 highest-paid celebrities in the world raked in over $5.1 billion combined. We feel like it’s an appropriate time to ask for a salary increase.

The Top 10 of Forbes Celebrity 100 list are:

  1. Sean Combs – $130m
  2. Beyoncé – $105m
  3. JK Rowling – $95m
  4. Drake – $94m
  5. Cristiano Ronaldo – $93m
  6. The Weeknd – $92m
  7. Howard Stern – $90m
  8. Coldplay – $88m
  9. James Patterson – $87m
  10. LeBron James – $86m

Bravo, Diddy!

Despite her wealth, Bey still rocks that hot sauce in her bag swag (geddit?).

However, this only led to a $5.5m decrease from her previous year’s earnings. Kim’s income over the past year has been thanks to her success with the Kimoji app and its merchandise, a lipstick collaboration with her sister’s make-up line, Kylie Cosmetics, and releasing her own make-up line, KKW Beauty. And not to mention her earnings from KUWTK! The Kardashian-Jenner family signed a huge $100 million deal in 2015 for the next four seasons of the show, of which Kim receives a generous $15m.
