Career: Kelly started her career as a member of R&B girl group Destiny’s Child. They released their self-titled debut album in 1998, but it was their second, 1999’s The Writing’s on the Wall, that gave them hits with Bills, Bills, Bills, Say My Name and Jumpin’ Jumpin’. Their single, Independent Women Part I, featured on the soundtrack to Charlie’s Angels and their third album, Survivor, sold over 10 million copies worldwide. She has also enjoyed solo success with albums Simply Deep and Ms Kelly and has appeared in the films Freddy vs. Jason and The Seat Filler.
Relationships: In May 2004, Kelly got engaged to American footballer Roy Williams, but they broke off their engagement in 2006.
