Career: Jay-Z is one of the most successful hip hop artists and entrepreneurs in America. He has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and won 13 Grammy Awards. In 1995 he founded Roc-A-Fella Records, along with Damon Dash and Kareem Biggs, because he couldn’t get a record deal. He released his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, the following year. In 2008 he became the first major hip hop artist to headline Glastonbury Festival. He also co-owns the 40/40 Club, is part owner of basketball team The New Jersey Nets, and the creator of the clothing line Rocawear.
Relationships: He married Beyoncé Knowles on 4th April 2008. They don’t talk publicly about their relationship but are believed to have been dating since 2002.
FYI: His childhood nickname was “Jazzy”, which later evolved into his stage name, Jay-Z.
