Mark your calendars, August 7th is the Qi Xi Festival, more commonly known as Chinese Valentine’s Day.
And what better way to celebrate the second valentine’s day of the year with a fancy meal at a spectacular award-winning restaurant. The culinary masterminds at Pierchic have crafted a special limited edition four-course set menu for a truly unforgettable and romantic dining experience.
The menu is based on the traditions of the Qi Xi festival, the unique seventh day of the seventh month in the Chinese Lunar calendar.
Happening for both lunch and dinner on Wednesday, August 7th the over-the-water seafood restaurant kicks off the Chinese Valentine’s Day dining adventure with a French blue lobster with tartar, avocado and ‘leche de tigre’, followed with a second appetizer of seared scallops with cream of porcini mushroom and black truffle.
Mains served up is a Chilean sea bass served with carabinero prawns, creamed salsify, raifort and spinach puree.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a V-day meal (or any meal) without a sweet finish, and the restaurant is indulging its guests with a romantic themed red velvet pearl made with rose flavoured bubbly infused strawberry sorbet served in a chocolate box. CUTE
The four-course menu is priced at Dhs888 per person along with a complementary Pierchic signature mixed drink along with a duo of locally sourced oysters with green apple and dill.
