Celebrate Burn's Night at New Bar in JBR

Scotland’s biggest celebration
of the year will be marked at a new British bar in JBR. Girders at the Ocean
View Hotel, will hold a Burns Night bash on Friday, 25 January.

The event marks the
birthday of Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet. Also known as Rabbie Burns,
he wrote verses in the Scottish tongue which have become part of Scotland’s
national culture.

Girders has planned a
special menu including Scotch broth, haggis, neeps (turnip) and tatties
(potatoes) as well as rather interesting dish Howtowdie wi drappit eggs, which
is roast chicken with poached eggs. The meal will be rounded off with
traditional Scottish dessert Cranachan.

There’ll even by a DJ
playing cheese Scottish favourite tunes, which we expect will include the
Proclaimers!
