CELEB INTERVIEW: In conversation with Lost Frequencies
It’s a great crowd, I also like the hot weather, the sand and the beaches! The fans out here are always really welcoming, which is always great!
Describe your sound/vibe in a sentence…
Deep housey vibe
What are your peak-time go-to tracks right now?
I’d have to say my new collab with Zonderling ‘Crazy’ – it’s the first release on my label Found Frequencies and the crowds have been going crazy for it! I always like to mix new tracks with some edits and then more classic tracks during my sets.
What type of music do you consider as your personal guilty pleasure?
I don’t have a guilty pleasure, but I do enjoy some 90s pop – that is where I got the inspiration from ‘What Is Love 2016’ from, my track is a cover of the Haddaway original! I turned the original party track into a chilled-out version of my own.
If you could only listen to three tracks for the rest of time, what would they be?
Bob Marley – No Woman No Cry
GALA – Freed From Desire
Daft Punk – One More Time
What or who do you think will be big on the house music scene in the next twelve months?
I think Zonderling and Throttle are both doing great!
What’s next for you in 2018?
Concentrating even more on what we have planned next for Found Frequencies, and a lot of touring! I’ll be heading back to South America in the new year and around Europe – London, France and Germany – and I also have a super cool US run of dates with Don Diablo! Don is a great guy and I’m excited to see the American crowds again – as well as Dubai! I’m so excited to come back for the best night of the year – New Years Eve!
Fancy seeing him live? He'll be playing at none other than FIVE Palm Jumeirah's new rooftop venue, The Penthouse so head on over to bring in 2018 with a night you'll never forget!
