This week has been amazing for many reasons, but the main thing I am impressed and touched by is the way in which the UAE rallies together for a good cause.
Last week hundreds of people gathered at the Autodrome in Motorcity, Dubai to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for spinal cord injuries by taking part in the Red Bull Wings for Life World Run. The cool and unique activity was run at the same time around the world across 35 locations on six continents, and best of all, every single bit of money raised went to the spinal cord research and the nearly 3 million people who are affected by it.
I was lucky enough to host The Wings for Life Run in Dubai, which was the only Middle Eastern location taking part, and the dedication and support from the great people of this country was staggering. Speaking to some of the runners and listening to their inspirational stories about why they were taking part and how spinal cord injuries had affected them and their families was very emotional.
Last year they raised $4million globally from doing the event and this year they look set to smash that record so a hearty congratulations from me to all of the runners who completed the course and a massive thank you to Red Bull for letting me be a part of something so wonderful.
