A cat died after being locked in a car for more than two hours in the Dubai summer heat
A cat has died due to being left unsupervised in a locked car yesterday.
Rosy was left in a locked car for about two hours before a volunteer from Animal Action UAE, and her children, found her when they heard her screams from inside the car.
They rescued the cat and took her to a vet where she cooled down and got a little better. However, the damage had already been done.
She died due to neurological symptoms which caused seizures, kidney and other internal organ damage.
The owner got to the clinic today morning when she realised someone had rescued Rosy and she hadn’t been stolen, which the owner had assumed.
The owner claims that she left Rosy some water and left the car’s window opened a little bit too. However, in Dubai’s current weather, that was not enough.
This comes as a reminder for everyone out there with pets. As it is with children, pets too should not be left in an unsupervised car. Even a little bit of neglect can cause really sad accidents.
