Carrie Underwood and Mike plan to adopt

Singer Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher are
considering adopting a child – but it will be years before they take the plunge
as parents.

The country music star and the ice hockey ace have been
married for just over a year but Carrie admits they’ve already started talking
about family life.

She tells, “I would love to adopt someday.
I’ve told Mike this. I would love for us to be able to have a couple of kids
and have them grow up a little bit and we all, as a family, decide what is best
for us.

“I would love to be able to adopt, not right now. I’m
talking years, if not decades, from now.”

Carrie and Mike married 10 July (2011) and the newly married couple said, “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!”

The wedding planner who organized the ceremony in a luxury resort said the celebration was: "a spiritual expression of their love" – a special moment for a "very special couple."

Carrie walked down the isle in a Monique Lhuillier dress. How divine!
