Carmen Electra Goes Crazy for Cash!
It seems all the B-listers are turning to reality TV for a financial boost, and new show The Choice is the hottest pick of the moment – picture The Voice but with celebs auditioning contestants to win a date with them rather than a record contract.
Panelist Carmen Electra created a buzz after she suspiciously cancelled her four-year engagement to former Korn guitarist Rob Patterson and signed up for the show within 24 hours! “It’s off,” a friend confirmed to Life & Style,” adding, “Carmen’s really nervous about getting back into the dating pool.”
But we’re not so easily fooled. News of the split came out the day after Carmen was unveiled as a celebrity contestant on the show. Either Rob dumped her when he found out she joined The Choice or she ditched him to go on the show. We think it was the latter.
CARMEN’S SECRET PLAN
The ex-lad’s mag model and Baywatch actress has been out of the spotlight for a while, and its unlikely her rocker ex kept her in the lifestyle she’s accustomed to. We figure Carmen is going on the show with another prize in mind. The Kardashians are the richest family in reality TV and lucky for her, Rob Kardashian is also going on the show. Is her master plan to snag Rob K? It would be the perfect time to do so, as Rob has been spotted arguing with his girlfriend, ‘Rihannalike’ Rita Ora!
The show, which premiers on Fox on 7 June, has a similar concept to The Voice and will feature a string of B-list celebs who will date winning contestants following blind auditions. Other celebs set to appear on the show, which will be hosted by Cat Deeley, include Joe Jonas, actor Dean Cain, model Tyson Beckford, Taylor Hicks from American Idol, Pauly D and Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino from Jersey Shore, NFL stars Rob Gronkowski and Ndamukong Suh and former Miss USA Rima Fakih. We can’t wait to see what happens in June!
