Carla Bruni’s Tough Parenting Tips
France's First Lady Carla Bruni has vowed to shield the
baby she’s expecting with President Nicolas Sarkozy away from the public eye,
insisting she’ll be “absolutely rigorous” about protecting the tot’s privacy.
The supermodel-turned-singer, who is weeks away from
giving birth, is adamant she will never release photos of the infant to the
public. Sadly that means no pics of the new born baby when it arrives.
“You don't have a child for the gallery,” Carla told
French TV show Sept-A-Huit. “I understand the media interest, and I don’t see
any inconvenience in it for myself or my husband, but when it concerns the
children, it’s not impossible,” she continued.
“I will do everything to protect this infant and I’ll be
absolutely rigorous. I will never show photos of this child, I will never expose
this child,” she warned.
Carla went on to admit her regret after taking her son
Aurelian, now 11, with her on a public trip with Nicolas to Petra in Jordan in
2008. “My eldest son was exposed once, not in a public situation but in a private
one, and it was a great error. I should never have taken my son to visit this
magnificent site. I should have foreseen there would be photographers.”
