Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford chose the road less travelled when it came to picking a venue for their wedding. The couple got married in a barn at a farm in Somerset, England on 20 April, conducted by Marcus' father, a vicar. The wedding, which had a rural theme, saw the venue decorated with hay bales!
A source told the Mail on Sunday, "Carey and Marcus
wanted a low-key, rustic wedding. They thought their friend's farm would make a
wonderful venue because it's so private."
Things weren't so casual when it came to the wedding gown. The bride, 26, wore a full-length ivory dress with V-straps, thought to be a Versace design, while her eight bridesmaids turned out in turquoise.
Meanwhile, the groom, 25, who's frontman of the band Mumford & Sons, was spotted earlier, wearing Ray-Ban glasses and driving to the venue.
The couple, who'd been dating since early last year, got engaged after just a few months. The wedding, which was quirky even by Hollywood standards, had its share of celebs among the 200 guests including Colin Firth, Sienna Miller and Jake Gyllenhaal.
