Calvin Harris has slammed his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift in a series of angry tweets after reports confirmed that she wrote his hit song This Is What You Came For.
The DJ initially complimented Taylor on her amazing ability to pen smash hits after the fact was revealed. But soon he accused her of trying to tear him down and said he refused to let her bury him like Katy Perry.
Calvin tweeted, “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.”
“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”
He further wrote, “I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.”
“I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it.”
The tweets came shortly after Taylor's representative confirmed she'd written the song under the fictional name Nils Sjoberg.
According to a report in TMZ, sources close to Taylor claimed that Calvin is downplaying her involvement by stating that she merely penned the lyrics and sang a little on the track, because she actually also wrote the melody.
Soon after the news broke, fans of both Katy and Calvin started posting snake emojis on Taylor's social media!
