Butterfly Park to Open at Dubai’s Miracle Gardens
Hearts will be set a-flutter when the UAE’s latest attraction opens its gates – a butterfly park featuring colourful species from all over the world.
Set to open in two weeks, it’s based at Miracle Gardens, where attractions have included a house, a UAE flag and a huge clock, each made using thousands of colourful blooms.
Butterflies live for just 14 to 26 days, and a breeding centre in Al Ain will provide a constant supply of pupae. They’ll be housed inside nine-custom-built domes at the park, thought to be the second-largest of its kind after Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park, according to Miracle Gardens’ developer, Akar Landscaping Services and Agriculture.
The centre has been built at a cost of Dhs35 million and is part of the ambitious Dubai Safari scheme, which will eventually include a golf course.
