Burj Khalifa Hit by Gigantic Wave

Don't worry, Burj Khalifa isn't really under threat. This is just for a scene in a new Warner Bros. production. Titled Geostorm, the movie stars Gerard Butler and Abbie Cornish, and some scenes are set here in Dubai.

The movie follows two estranged brothers in their quest to save the world when a network of satellites satellites deigned to protect the earth, begin to atack it.

Clearly, there is a certain amount of destruction before they achieve their task, but did it have to be our beloved Dubai?

Watch the trailer, but let us warn you, it seems like Geostorm's graphics team has never visited Dubai, because since when has Burj Khalifa been on the beach?
