Brunch Review: Traiteur, Park Hyatt Dubai
The multi-award winning Traiteur brunch is accessed from Park Hyatt’s new entrance, walking past a marina full of yachts to The Promenade. Upon arrival, you wouldn’t be blamed for mistaking this dining destination for the Mediterranean, with its chalk white and sea blue interior and terrace areas. Overlooking the marina at Dubai Creek, this spot is truly picturesque.
The open-kitchen concept means diners can choose what they want cooked, fresh, right in front of them. Indulge in French delicacies, from Burgundy snails and pan-seared foie gras, to freshly shucked Fine de Claire oysters. The less adventurous can opt for melt-in-the-mouth beef tenderloin, a selection of rotisserie or fresh lobster and shrimp.
A separate area of the restaurant, reminiscent of a beach house in Santorini, houses fresh raw seafood. Think mussels, sushi, razor clams, and a wide variety of the finest caviar.
Cheese lovers are in for a treat, with an abundant range of gourmet cheeses, charcuterie and terrines available.
The dessert area is also special. Delectable eclairs and cakes, as well as crèpe and waffle stations loaded with ice cream and toppings, end an indulgent day of dining.
This brunch is three and a half hours long, meaning you have the whole afternoon to graze on the best cuisine. There’s just enough choice to not get confused about what to eat, unlike at a lot of brunches we’ve tried.
And best of all, at Traiteur, you can escape from the hustle and bustle of Dubai to the South of France for a few delectable hours.
