BRITNEY SPEARS' former manager SAM LUTFI has been told he'll have to wait until after the summer to contact the pop star again.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered Lutfi to stay out of Spears' life for at least another two-and-a-half months during a hearing on Wednesday.

The restraining order that was enforced against Lutfi by Spears' parents in February when the singer's father took control of her legal and financial affairs, was yesterday extended to 31 July.

Last month Lutfi filed papers objecting to the Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner assigned to the star's conservatorship case - asking for a judge to oversee the matter instead.

Commissioners perform many of the same duties as judges, but all parties involved in the proceedings must agree to one hearing a case - which means Lutfi has the right to demand a judge oversee the case instead.

Before the hearing, Lutfi revealed he would not fight the court's decision.
