BRIAN McFadden is expected to head to the UK this weekend to comfort his two daughters in the wake of yet another meltdown by his former wife, disgraced British party girl Kerry Katona.
The former Westlife star is currently in the US with fiancee Delta Goodrem and is said to be heading to London to discuss an increased future role in the lives of his youngsters Molly, 7 and Lilly-Sue, 6.
The last-minute trip followed the release of a shocking video last week which allegedly showed Katona, 28, taking drugs in her Cheshire home which sources say left Brian "fuming".
He was said to be pursuing sole custody of the girls and planning to bring them back to Australia to live with him and Goodrem.
But a source said nothing beside the forthcoming trip was set in stone.
"Nothing has happened yet - it will all depend on what happens when he gets there (England)," the source said.
Katona's former agent Max Clifford, who dumped her as a client last year because of her drinking problem, said the former Atomic Kitten singer was on a "downward spiral".
"So Bryan McFadden will possibly be attempting to get custody, as he has done in the past," he said.
McFadden, who rarely speaks about his children and has refused to comment on the matter, tried to step in earlier this year when Katona admitted to being an alcoholic.
Katona, declared bankrupt last year after paying $30,000 for liposuction, was dropped from a $500,000-a-year supermarket endorsement deal following this week's allegations.
McFadden began seeing Goodrem in 2004 following his official separation from Katona in September of that year.
