Globe-trotting family have decided to make a home in Europe

BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE have decided to settle down in France - because their family need a permanent base for a while.

The couple, who have six children - adopted Maddox, seven, Pax, four and Zahara, three, as well as biological offspring Shiloh, two, and baby twins Knox and Vivienne - are constantly globe-trotting as they promote their various film projects.

But now the pair have decided to set up home in France for the time being, while Pitt films Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming movie Inglourious Basterds.

He tells Hello magazine, "I've been dragging them all from continent to continent lately, so we're going to have to give them a break soon. For the long term, right now, we're choosing France.

And out of all the places the family have lived, Pitt seems to favour the European country.

He adds, "It's good living there, a really nice way of life. It's a place where the kids can run free and not be hassled - we have a good relationship with the locals, and it's a good base for the family."
