Abu Dhabi students get accepted in to 17 elite US universities

A student in British School in Abu Dhabi has been accepted in to 17 elite universities in America. Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Georgetown, Browns, Johns Hopkins, Columbia and others and have received full merit scholarships for undergraduate studies. The 18-year-old has chosen Harvard to study economics.

The student, the first to go to university in his family, described in his essay how the UAE inspired him to dream big. It states, “I decided to be bold – bold like Abu Dhabi, a city that has built itself up from the Arabian Desert in less than 40 years and whose thousands of lights I could see from my sanctuary in the roof.”
