Brad Pitt Brings a Special Date to the Premiere of His New Movie Fury
You would have thought that Brad Pitt would have brought Angelina Jolie, his new wife, as his date to the premiere for his new movie Fury in London, however he surprised everyone when he was accompanied by a completely different guest. Peter Comfort, Pitt's plus one on the night, was the last World War Two survivor of the 12/18th Royal Hussars who was assigned to the Sherman tanks and he got the proper star treatment at the London Film Festival gala screening of the film.
In the movie, Pitt plays a rebellious Sherman tank commander and while filming in England last year, he asked Comfort for advice and his first-hand account on the subject.
Comfort had the chance to visit Pitt on the set in Hertfordshire, making lots of Pitt fans seriously jealous, but admitted he didn't know who Pitt was before they met each other. He says, "Mr Pitt was very friendly and charming actually but I didn't know who he was. I said to him, 'Until last night I didn't have a clue who you were and then I Googled you and you've been in quite a lot of films'.
Comfort met up with the actor again on Sunday as the two posed for photos on the red carpet before watching a screening of the film. Fury hit number one on the North American box office charts this weekend.
Turns out that deep down Brad Pitt is a real softie!
