Brad Pitt snubbed, again

It’s been 15 years since his last Golden Globe, but Brad Pitt figured this year would be his year. After an impressive performance in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, it seemed likely that the 46-year-old actor would finally be nominated again. But alas, he was not.

Once again snubbed by the folks at the prestigious awards, Brad and his partner Angelina Jolie are standing their ground by not attending the show on January 17. The news came from Ange’s stylist Jen Rade who told E! Online, “They're not going because he’s not nominated individually. Inglourious Basterds is, but not him.”

In the World War II drama, Brad plays an American soldier determined to kill the Nazis. The film has received critical acclaim and is nominated in numerous categories including Best Picture and Best Director for Quentin.

But Brad and Ange’s refusal to attend the show is understandable for other reasons. Their appearance at last year’s award show came with several cringe-worthy incidences that many haven’t forgotten. While Brad’s ex Jennifer Aniston presented an award on stage, cameras panned to the couple who looked obviously uncomfortable, especially with Jen cracking jokes and entertaining the crowd. Ange again suffered an embarrassing moment later in the night when Best Actress winner Kate Winslet forgot her name while listing the other nominees in her acceptance speech (yikes!).

Wonder what Jen’s thinking...
