The actor hosted a star-studded benefit in New Orleans

Along with
funny gal Ellen DeGeneres, Brad Pitt hosted a celeb-packed fundraiser to raise
money for the city of New Orleans on Saturday.

At the Hyatt
Regency in NOLA, as the locals call it, the gala featured performances from T’Town
royalty including Rihanna, Sheryl Crow and Seal. Sean Penn and Kevin Spacey
also turned up to lend their support, paying Dhs3600 a ticket. But celebs got a
lot of bang for their buck – along with helping the city, they also got to jam
to the sounds of Kanye West and Snoop Dogg at the after-party.

Moved by how
many A-listers flew down for his event, Brad joked with Reuters, "Even
though these people don't like me that much, it really was simple. They carved
this time out of their schedule strictly for this event, and came on their own
dime."Brad founded the Make it Right Foundation in 2005 in the wake of
Hurricane Katrina.
