We've got a feeling this is a not-to-be-missed event as after concentrating on solo projects for the past three years, the Black Eyed Peas are finally going to reunite for a one-off onstage extravaganza as they’re booked to headline the Rebuild Philippines! charity gig at Hollywood's Greek Theatre on 8 June.
The concert, organised by proud Filipino and Black Eyed Peas member apl.de.ap's foundation is being held to help raise funds for the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan, which caused destruction across the region in November last year.
Rapper Jaime Gomez aka Taboo who visited Dubai last year to DJ as part of his world tour revealed he cannot wait to reunite onstage with his Black Eyed Peas band-mates will.i.am and apl.de.apa although singer Fergie will sadly not be able to join them.
The I Gotta Feeling hit-makers have been busy working on solo projects in recent years, so the get-together at the fundraiser will give them a chance to catch up with one another - and treat fans to a mini-reunion.
Taboo told TV station KTLA, "It's great because it'll be the first time that me, will.i.am and apl.de.ap are gonna be onstage since 2011. We've all been chasing individual endeavours. Now that we get the opportunity to be onstage together, it'll be like a reunion."
The concert will also feature performances by Talib Kweli, The Filharmonic, AJ Rafael and hip-hop dance sensation Jabbawockeez, the season one winners of MTV reality show America's Best Dance Crew.
