Teenage pop idol Billie Eilish is intent on staying single - as she does not "have enough stamina" for a boyfriend right now. The 17-year-old singer shot to fame earlier this year after her album When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? topped charts around the world, and the Bad Guy hitmaker says she's too focused on success and staying independent to look for love.
"I don't have a boyfriend," she reveals in a video interview with Vanity Fair. "For the first time in my life, I don't feel the need to be with anyone. For the first time in my life, I don't have my eyes on anyone.
"I'm not in the mood, I don't have enough stamina for it right now, and I'm totally fine with that. So, who knows? I'm open to it."
Billie has been open about discussing her mental health, and the difficulties of quickly becoming one of the biggest popstars on the planet - but she says that despite the pressures of stardom, she's happier than ever.
"The Most important thing would be maintaining my happiness, which I'm experiencing for the first time in many years lately," the teenage sensation shares. Revealing she's now come to terms with fame, she adds: "I like being famous, but I used to hate it. I hated doing press and I hated being recognised and I hated kind of everything that had to do with it.
"There's a lot in fame that's gross and horrible and just miserable. But I'm very grateful for it, and it's really rare and I'm very lucky, so I'm done with complaining about it."
