Beyonce's new single 'Spirit' for The Lion King is out and it's absolutely beautiful
What a pleasant surprise! The Queen B has rained down on us again with her newest single 'Spirit' for The Lion King reboot.
Admit it or not, we've all been Beyonce deprived, especially after she released her legendary album 'Lemonade' in 2016.
But it seems like our whining has been cut short as Beyonce unveiled the release of her new single. The new song will be part of the forthcoming album, The Lion King: the Gift and will also feature as one of the soundtracks for the reboot of The Lion King. And you thought Beyonce lending her voice as Nala was enough?
With a distinct intro featuring a series of sonorous voices and strong, unfiltered vocals, 'Spirit' is brimming with life that embodies the savannah environment in the film.
The orchestral melodies and pleasant hums are complimented by the Queen B's uplifting verses about resilience; "Watch the light lift your heart up."
The announcement of the single was well-received by her fans, to say the least, and many have turned to social media to revere the track.
I can’t wait to see Beyoncé perform #Spirit at the 2020 Academy Awards with an 82 piece choir backing her.— shar (@SharSaysSo) July 10, 2019
...Right before she receives her academy award.
The Lion King has certainly turned into the Beyonce show. So much so that Entertainment Tonight posted a hilarious tweet in which they put Beyonce on a pedestal as she arrived at The Lion King premiere, with the caption "#TheLionKing has arrived to the *Beyonce premiere."
