Queen B is not happy with hubby's weight gain

Beyoncé isn't Crazy in Love with Jay Z's belly as scrawny Naomi Watts and Nicole Richie are slammed.
In the super-competitive world of Hollywood it's important to make sure one looks his or her best at all times. Unfortunately, some stars have taken this way of life to the extreme and are becoming dangerously obsessed with maintaining super-slim bodies. Nicole Richie and Naomi Watts are two such celebrities who have recently displayed worryingly thin physiques, with their very bones being visible through their skin. Pop queen Beyoncé has also reportedly been obsessing over weight gain, but it's her husband Jay Z's lack of vanity that's the cause of her woes.

Battle with the Bulge

Tensions are reportedly rising between Jay and Beyoncé as those close to the couple claim she's fed up of the rapper being overweight and has issued him with an ultimatum to lose 20lb. A source spilled: "She's so over his size and thinks it's ridiculous that he doesn't take care of his health. She's worried about his cholesterol, his blood pressure – everything – and wants him to lose weight urgently."

Tubby Hubby is A Turn-Off
Beyoncé, 33, is said to be particularly concerned about her older husband's health for the sake of their daughter, Blue Ivy, who was also one of the main reasons they reportedly patched up their marriage in recent months. Last year, the Single Ladies singer urged Jay to join her on a 22-day vegan diet ahead of his 44th birthday. Writing on his blog at the time, the rapper revealed: "Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. On the 22nd day, you've found the way."
Since then, the couple have been on the road for their On The Run tour, and it seems the Jigga man has slipped back into bad habits – and his health-conscious wife is said to be unimpressed. "Jay is very inactive," a source said, "because he spends hours in the studio or in his office." They added that, even on tour, Jay Z was "not the type of performer to jump about dancing like she does."
Despite Beyoncé's efforts to initiate another health kick, this time around, Jay apparently "cheated all the way through", claimed a source, adding that Bey has gone to extreme lengths to get him to listen. "She's even told him he's turning her off, just to get him motivated."

Fitness Freak-out Fears

The latest rift comes as the couple appeared to be getting over their recent marriage crisis, with reports they even planned to renew their vows. "They did have major problems," an insider revealed, "but they worked it out and they've renewed their vows." Now, Jay's refusal to meet his wife's fitness demands could rock the boat again, particularly as the singer, who herself dropped 65lb after Blue Ivy's birth, admits she can be a control freak. "I don't believe in the answer 'no'. I'm extremely driven and extremely critical. I'm a control freak. I pay attention to details." Jay Z, you have been warned!

Naomi and Nicole come under fire for their extreme weight loss.

Naomi Watts isn't usually one for making headlines, but lately the actress has been looking extremely gaunt even by her standards. The 46-year-old star left onlookers shocked when she rocked up to the St Vincent premiere in New York earlier this month with her ribs on show in a revealing backless dress. Naomi may have dazzled in the Champagne-coloured frock, but her frail frame was impossible to miss and it drew some criticism from her fans. One posted: "Why do ageing women feel the need to compensate for getting older by becoming rake-thin? It actually ages them terribly."

Another stated: "It is a shame that in H-wood even someone as talented and beautiful as Watts feels the need to be so skinny to stay viable and be seen as attractive."
Yet Naomi has previously said that she doesn't try to be thin and insists her shape is natural. "Luckily, I have fairly good genetics, but I do exercise. I really do enjoy my food. I don't starve myself, because if I start denying myself, that's when I want to eat most of all. It's fine. I've pretty much always been this size. It's more about just staying
in shape."

Miss Watts isn't the only woman under attack because of her weight. Nicole Richie has also been targeted for criticism thanks to her rapidly dwindling frame. The 33-year-old is an amazing mother and a superb businesswoman, but her health was called into question after she appeared looking gaunt at the House of Harlow 1960 jewellery line launch in Bloomingdale's, Los Angeles, last week.

Her chest showed protruding bones and her clavicle was much more visible and defined. Even a parent from the school Nicole sends her daughter to shared some of her fears for the star, telling Radar.com: "We're very concerned about Nicole's weight [and I can't recall] seeing her eat anything at the functions she attends."
This isn't the first time that Richie's body has been the talk of the town, and in 2012 she told Glamour magazine that she's very strict with her physique.
"I feel great about my body, you know, aesthetically I can be picky, but I choose not to. I've taken huge leaps and I'm proud of that."
