Don’t stick your tootsies in anything else…

Best for: Training
PUMA Performance, Dhs65, Puma
With a light top and soft, cushioned sole, these socks do their job of providing comfort and ventilation while running. SHAPE testers found them to be especially comfortable for long-distance running thanks to the soft terry sole. And our feet stayed cool and dry thanks to the CoolMax material on the bottom of the sock. An essential thanks to the UAE temperature.

Best for: Endurance
Toesox, Dhs75, Adventure HQ
Putting on Toesox for the first time can feel strange, but once on, they feel very comfy. With the toes separated, the muscles in your foot can be strengthened and blood circulation increases. SHAPE testers noticed a lack of blistering and plenty of toe-wiggle room in their running shoes. The non-slip sole also makes them a good choice for yoga and Pilates.

Best for: hot temperatures
2XU Low Rise Performance, Dhs50, Adventure HQ
2XU’s performance socks are so light weight and airy. Their ergonomic shape makes them extra comfortable, and easy to slide in and out of running shoes. SHAPE testers found them especially well-suited for hotter temperatures due to their ventilation, your feet stay cool, even when the rest of you is sweating.

Best for: Long-distance
Lorpen Liner Antibacterial, Dhs145, Adventure HQ
These Lorpen socks are so light weight you feel as if you’re not wearing anything. Primarily hiking socks, these are great when used as running socks as they have a layer of antibacterial treatment and perspiration control. SHAPE testers loved them because they were irritation-free and uber-comfy.

Best for: Sprints
2XU Women’s Compression Race Sock, Dhs195,
While it takes a while to pull these compression socks on, it’s more than worth it. The support the socks provide around the calf and lower leg makes all the difference when it comes to muscle comfort. SHAPE testers discovered the light fabric helps with ventilation and slipping your foot easily in and out of running shoes.
