Nineteen Go: Located at Montgomerie Golf Club, Nineteen caused quite a stir when it opened in 2007 and was voted Best Newcomer at the 2007 Time Out Restaurant Awards. Hard to believe of a golf club restaurant, but Nineteen offers contemporary European cuisine with a side order of delicious Asian flair. It’s not a rowdy brunch by any means (don’t expect any table dancing here) but has a regular and faithful following. Sit: On the terrace overlooking the green if it’s cool, otherwise enjoy the cutting edge interiors and concentrate on your date! Eat: Anything with goat’s cheese is our recommendation, but the brunch has imaginative touches and shows the chef’s genuine flair and commitment. Wear: Forget the Plus Fours and Argyle sweaters, the après golf look at Nineteen is decidedly smart/casual. If you’re in two minds about what that means, err on the side of smart. Pay: Dhs295 with alcoholic beverages or Dhs450 with bubbly per person. Contact: Call (04) 390 5600 for details and bookings.
