Beckham pays last respect to his grandfather

DAVID BECKHAM donned his late grandfather's favourite tie to bid a final farewell to him at a memorial on Wednesday.

The sportsman is said to have organised a special wake for Joseph West, who passed away last week, at the grounds of his favourite soccer team, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in London.

Beckham paid special tribute to him by wearing his blue Tottenham tie, reports Britain's The Sun.

A source tells the publication, "Spurs meant the world to Joe. He used to take David to the games when he was a boy. It was the one last thing David could do for his beloved grandad."

West, dad to the star's mother Sandra, passed away after a long battle with lung cancer.
