The Nikki Beach Resort and Spa is one to try!

Talise’s Margy’s Hyaluron Collagen Facial is really quite special. The luxurious treatment is designed to combat wrinkles and loss of elasticity. Ideal if you have spent a few too many hours in the baking heat or chilly AC. Super ingredient collagen helps new cells migrate to the skin’s surface, while hyaluronic acid (an anti-ageing dream potion) plumps skin, making it feel and look younger. Our favourite part of this 90-minute facial was the algae pads, which exfoliate and eliminate dead skin cells. This special scrub, combined with the Face Lift Collagen Mask – a mask of pure collagen fibres – will make even the dullest skin glow. It’s the J-Lo of facials. Or should that be J-Glow? Upon arrival we are offered hot and cold drinks and are shown around the very comfortable changing facilities. It’s hard not to immediately feel the worries and stresses of the week fall away. The facial consists of five steps. First our skin is cleansed to remove daily grime then exfoliated. The exfoliant is oil-based and hydrating. The therapist massages the face to plump up the chops. FYI, add a five- minute massage to your daily skincare routine to increase blood flow and brighten the complexion. A revitalising organic face mask of argan oil, rosehip seed oil, Himalayan salts and rose water is applied while the head is soothingly massaged. To finish, a layer of night cream is applied and massaged into the face. The skin feels the smoothest and most luminous it has ever been. This hydrating facial uses a mixture of Dermalogica products to give crepey skin its bounce back. The scrub, our fave bit, was applied under a steamer to open the pores and give skin a thorough clean without being too harsh. A spritz of Demalogica’s UltraCalming Mist revitalised the face before a layer of the brand’s popular MultiVitamin Power Recover Masque was applied. This powerful treat is ultra-replenishing and antioxidant rich, perfect for dull, dry, dehydrated skin. Vitamins A, C and E also help repair damaged, ageing skin. It’s a hero buy, and for all the right reasons. INFO: For a limited time only, We Nails is offering a 20 percent discount on its Hydration Facial. After a morning spent relaxing on the luxury private beach at The Waldorf Astoria on The Palm, head to the Spa for a 30-minute COOLA Sun Massage Treatment. The treatment can be enjoyed before or after a sunbathing session to help rehydrate and protect the skin. A therapist massages mango-scented COOLA SPF50 lotion into the skin in sweeping motions. The product cools the skin, ideal for anyone who has turned a little lobster in the heat. It nourishes and deeply hydrates the skin. The high-performance SPF contains vitamins and age-defying antioxidants. B/Attitude uses Phytomer’s lush marine- based products. The treatment begins with a full body scrub. A therapist gets to work on the limbs, firmly massaging coarse salt scrub combined with fresh-scented oil. The technique is tough, no dead skin cell is left unbu ed. This process is repeated all over the body. Once scrubbed pink, we hop into the (gorgeous) shower to wash off the salt before returning for the hydration element. A thick layer of intensely moisturising lotion is applied with a delicious massage. After the 45-minute treatment we retire to the heated beds of the relaxation room to sip mint tea and admire our newly polished epidermis. Once layers of old skin have successfully been shed (yuck) and new skin is plumped and moisturised, your tan will look even fresher. The Dreamer Ritual is, as the name suggests, utterly dreamy. This lavish experience starts with a foot-cleansing ritual, with the soothing scents of jasmine and ylang ylang. A 20-minute body scrub, using apricot kernel and spearmint body polish follows. We love the minty smell – so refreshing. A massage with palmerosa and rose geranium oil firms the skin. It’s finished with a pumpkin seed and argan oil body butter to hydrate, moisturise and improve skin elasticity. A tailored facial follows, including full skin-lamp assessment to establish where your problem areas are. The Radiance Facial uses vitamin C, mulberry, liquorice and Hawaiian algae to stimulate cell renewal, revive dull and tired skin. It’s the highlight of the treatment for us, with our skin looking visibly plumper and brighter. A luxurious two-hour ritual that’s worth splashing out on for a special treat. There’s nothing more satisfying than leaving the treatment room feeling revitalised and silky smooth. And that’s definitely how you’ll feel after this scrub and massage combo at one of Dubai’s newest spas. To recapture a youthful glow, we kick o with a Terres D’Afrique Body Polish. The natural scrub is made from coconut shells, rooibos leaves and baobab oil. All three products exfoliate and bu your skin until it’s as soft as can be. It’s a fairly rough scrub (you can feel the coconut shell) but not unpleasantly so, and will leave you feeling polished. This is followed by an aromatherapy massage, where omumbiri body butter is used. Coconutty and fresh, we feel transported to tropical climes. The body butter soothes and helps to regenerate the skin, ideal for those who enjoy a bit of beach time and sunbathing. The moisturising butter contains coconut oil (hence the delish scent) and jojoba oil to help restructure and revitalise the epidermis, nourishing the deep layers of the skin. We’re so relaxed that we nearly drift off, and eventually leave soft of skin and smelling delightful. A luxurious experience that’s top-notch for dehydrated skin. One of the most popular TNS treatments is the Wrap and Relax, great for tired and swollen feet (especially good for pregnant ladies). Feet are gently swathed in a mega hydrating, hot para in wrap which is left on for around 30 minutes. This helps to moisturise even the driest feet, leaving them soft and smooth to the touch. As the treatment is detoxifying it is recommended to leave your nails free from polish to breathe for a couple of days. TNS also offers add-ons such as facials, massages and threading, starting from additional Dhs55. INFO: Dhs155, 600 544 001,

This pamper session begins with Fleurs Delight revitalising scrub, which has ingredients such as date pit and orange blossom, and leaves skin moisturised, delicately scented and silky. After a quick shower you choose an oil fragrance for the full body massage. We could choose from either relaxing chamomile or lavender oil, and thoroughly enjoyed the 45-minute massage. A 30-minute re-energising Fleur’s Facial concludes the treatment, leaving skin feeling radiant and fully hydrated.
