Bastille to Perform at RedFestDXB
Good news seem to come in bulk these days, as more and more exciting acts are added to the RedFestDXB line up for the 2015 edition of the much-loved music festival.
Combining glossy '80's synth pop/rock and festival friendly choruses on singles such as Pompeii, Bastille's debut album Bad Blood was the UK's biggest selling digital album in 2013. At the same time the band cemented their live credentials with festival performances at Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, T in the Park and Coachella, to name a few.
The group began as the solo project of singer/songwriter Dan Smith but became a full-fledged band in 2010 with the addition of Chris Wood, William Farquarson, and Kyle Simmons. Bastille attracted a lot of attention after putting a few tracks online, eventually they secured a deal with hip indie label Young and Lost Club and released their album Bad Blood, followed, featuring the singles Things We Lost In The Fire , Overjoyed and Flaws, selling over two million copies.
However, Bastille's true breakthrough came with Pompeii, which reached number two on the UK charts in February 2013 and won Bastille a Brit Award for Best Breakthrough Act in 2014.
Bastille joins the growing line up of Iggy Azalea, The Script, Kiesza, Ella Eyre Cris Cab, Jeremih, Rixton and Tinashe, as part of the Middle East's biggest music festival.
Ahlan! is joining RedFestDXB as the festival's Official Magazine Partner, making sure the event is a must-visit on your social calendar.
