Barasti is one of Dubai’s oldest nightlife and beach venues. In the 13 years since it opened, its popularity has ballooned, meaning guests often queue around the block to join the party. There’s no secret to its success – huge screens for sport, a beach, DJ area and whopping food menu. There really is something for everyone.
Barasti has become a bit of an institution in the UAE and is the go-to location for all big sporting events. Even celeb visitors to the UAE have popped down to see what all the fuss is about, having received visits from England footballer Steven Gerrard, former England international and Cheryl Cole’s ex-beau Ashley Cole, as well as former rugby players Shane Williams and Carlos Spencer.
The majority of Barasti is outdoors so it’s great in the winter months and for sunbathers who want to catch some rays on the free-entry beach, but there is also an indoor restaurant area that serves an à la carte menu seven days a week (the fish and chips are a must-try!). The Barasti experience is not to be missed, whether you are living in the UAE or just visiting.
