Backstreet Boys will NOT be in Dubai

16 Jan 2014

The group have no date scheduled for a concert in Dubai

Contrary to many reports the Backstreet Boys are not coming to perform in Dubai – and apparently never were.

Ahlan! can exclusively reveal that the chart topping boyband are not scheduled to appear in the Emirate after their management confirmed to us: “There is no Dubai date”.

The reason behind the mass confusion is still a mystery and nobody has been able to explain why the American group listed Dubai as a tour date on their official website earlier this week.

The revelation follows the news that British girl group All Saints, who were originally listed to perform as a warm-up act for the boyband, never actually agreed to the gig and were never even booked to appear in Dubai.

A representative for the all girl group, which features members Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis and sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton, revealed to Ahlan! that the girls would not be coming to Dubai and they have no idea where the story came from.

The rep said: “They weren't scheduled to appear I'm afraid. The girls won't be in Dubai with the Backstreet Boys. Sorry to disappoint.” The BSB listed on their official website that they would be playing one date in Dubai at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 28 March. However, the event listing has now been removed from the site.
