Avengers: Endgame just overshadowed Avatar in one snap of a finger
Ah, overhyped films don't usually sit well with critics and movie lovers, and we can understand why. Sometimes the popularity of a movie can overshadow all the flaws and plot holes it has.
But there's always that one film that just seems to be worth all the hype; you'll usually know this when the crowd cheers loudly at the cinema.
What better example is there than this year's 'Avengers: Endgame.'
So of course, it doesn't seem too much of a surprise to find out that the superhero blockbuster beat out 'Avatar', the 2009 box-office champion that reigned for 10 years only to be dethroned by the Marvel Studio's movie in just 13 weeks!
Marvel's boss, Kevin Feige confirmed the news at the studio's Comic-Con panel in California on July 20th, announcing that the blockbuster crossed $2.7902 billion at the global box office!

The film passed 'Avatar's $2.7897 billion benchmark over the weekend once the tickets were tallied.
"Thanks to you, Avengers: Endgame is the biggest film of all-time," Feige told fans in Comic-Con's fabled Hall H.
Disney, who now owns both Marvel and Avatar franchises actually re-released 'Avengers: Endgame' last month with some additional footage because they were so eager to beat Avatar's record, and well, we guess it worked.
'Avengers: Endgame' hasn't stopped setting numerous box office records since its release on April and the superhero film currently holds the title for biggest global opening weekend with $1.2 billion, best domestic launch with $357 million and strongest international bow with $866 million.
A movie that is so worth all the hype!
