Asia de Cuba Abu Dhabi has launched a sharing-style Friday Brunch by the Beach.
Foodies and partygoers alike are invited to lose themselves at the recently opened restaurant, which, with its winning blend of Asian and Latin flavours, brings something new to the capital’s dining scene.
Guests can indulge in a four-course menu featuring an array of innovative dishes. To kick off the feast, diners will be brought a selection of tapas including pastelitos, chicken chicharones, tostones and ceviche, followed by a lighter course of tantalising salads with ingredients including black rice and grilled corn, roasted duck and ‘Icy Hot’ shrimp.
Then there are the entrées. Highlighting the best of Cuban food while adding a distinctive Asian twist, you’ll find items such as
Chinese eggplant, spicy prawn sofrito and seven-spice-roasted chicken. Your gastronomic journey will be rounded off with intriguing desserts such as Thai coconut and lemongrass flan alongside more traditional offerings such as sorbet and tres leches de chocolate.
You may or may not know that the Bloody Mary was invented at the St Regis New York, and this brunch pays tribute to the tomato-based cocktail with a dedicated station serving up variations on the classic drink. Encouraging diners to be creative, it has more than a dozen salt garnishes, pickled and fresh vegetables, chilled shrimp and more than 20 hot sauces for an unforgettable fiesta, whether you opt for something tangy, spicy or somewhat milder.
