Ariana Grande 'Almost Died' in Stage Slip
Pop star had a near miss during Christmas concert in New York
Pop star Ariana Grande narrowly avoided serious injury during a Christmas concert in New York on Friday after slipping on confetti near the edge of the stage.
The Problem hitmaker was strutting across the stage at Madison Square Garden as part of the annual Jingle Ball gig when she lost her footing and stumbled in her towering white stilettos.
She managed to regain her balance and continued with her performance of Love Me Harder, but after the song, she quipped to the audience, "Woooo, girl, I almost died up here!"
Grande managed to laugh off the incident and even shared a clip of the close call on Instagram.com.
She captioned the video, "When u slip on confetti & almost die at Madison Square Garden."
The petite popstar’s slip comes just days after music insiders told Life & Style magazine that Grande insisted on being carried around by her staff. “Her new rule is that she has to be carried – literally carried like a baby – when she doesn’t feel like walking. She says that she doesn’t want her precious feet to hit the floor,” says a source, who witnessed the 21-year-old get a lift from her staff while filming her latest music video and again at rehearsals for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. “Everyone was stunned. Ariana is such a diva.”
