Arab film maker in Hot 100
Abdulla Khalifa AlKaabi

While shooting Hot 100 participant and filmmaker Abdulla AlKaabi, our photographer literally caught him off set while premiering his very first film The Philosopher. Shot in Paris earlier last year with more than 80 cast and crew, Al Ka'abi's debut film boasts legendary French actor Jean Reno in the lead.
Abdulla admits he was star stuck we he first heard Reno had agreed to do the project. "It is a dream. I saw Reno as a superstar in movies and to see such an artist support a young filmmaker is simply poetic. "For me it was bridging the gap between Emirati and French talents," he added.

Abdulla will team up with Reno once again in his second film, Culture Shock, a romantic comedy co-starring French actress Virginie Ledoyen, who starred in The Beach. In Culture Shock, Ledoyen plays a French model who follows a wealthy Emirati she met in Paris to the UAE in the hope of reclaiming her fame.
