A perfect wedding is the dream of every woman, and the popular lifestyle website wants to help. The site, which was launched in 2010 for Arab women, recently added a bridal section and, along with loads of wedding tips and ideas, it has started a series of bridal planning surveys in order to understand brides-to-be better.

For the first survey in the series – dubbed The Brides Have Spoken – Arab women aged from 22-29 across the Middle East participated. The results are intriguing. While 65 per cent prefer to celebrate their nuptials in a special hall, only 58 per cent consider budget when planning a wedding (meaning that, for 42 per cent, money’s no object – lucky brides!) But the biggest revelation? No less than 41 per cent of brides confessed to interference from their mothers-in-law! We can’t help but wonder if that’s really the best start to married life...
