Another Skin Cancer Scare for Hugh Jackman
We feel for Hugh Jackman, who's had another skin cancer scare after discovering a growth on his nose. Luckily, he discovered it in time and he's helping spread awareness about it too.
Less than six months after the Les Miserables star underwent surgery on a basal cell carcinoma, Hugh has revealed he has had another procedure.
Posting a photo of his bandaged nose on Instagram.com on Thursday (8 May), the actor wrote, "Another Basel Cell Carsinoma. All out now. Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian. PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!."
In November 2013, Hugh's wife Deborra-Lee Furness, encouraged him to see a dermatologist and get the "mark" on his nose checked. He finally agreed and discovered the cancer.
After surgery on 21 November, he said, "I’m feeling relieved, it’s good, cancer's all out and I'm very very grateful to my beautiful wife who forced me to go and get a check-up... Typical man, I was like, 'Oh I’ll go next week'. The whole time, I thought it was not much, but only afterwards did they say, 'You’re really lucky you got it checked out now'."
