Angelina Jolie's kids gave her strength following Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie's kids helped pull her through her split from her ex-husband Brad Pitt.
The Maleficent: Mistress of Evil star called time on her relationship with the actor back in 2016, after 11 years of dating and two years of marriage, and credits her children for helping her through the difficult time.
"My strength is from my children," she told Studio 10 at the Tokyo, Japan premiere of the upcoming Disney movie. "Anyone who's a parent knows that there's a strength within you that grows."
Adding that she always strives to be strong for her children so she can "pull them through anything," the star's comments come after she told French magazine, Madame, she "didn't recognise herself" as the relationship came to an end.
"I am in a period of transition, like a return to my roots, a return to myself. Because, I had lost myself a bit," she confessed.
"I think it happened as my relationship with Brad was coming to an end, then at the beginning of our separation.
Jolie, 44, shares Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox with the Ad Astra star.
