Angelina Jolie always appears such a golden girl off-screen that we assumed she must be the same at work. As well as being made an honorary dame by Queen Elizabeth II, Ange, who currently has chickenpox, has shown her caring side by adopting kids from impoverished countries and fighting for human rights as an official ambassador for UNICEF, so team Ahlan! were as shocked as anyone when emails in which a Hollywood movie mogul labelled her a “spoiled brat” were leaked.

Jolie Feels the Fury
Hollywood producer Scott Rudin had blasted Ange, 39, as “minimally talented” in angry messages to a top Sony Pictures executive after the actress objected to the news that Fight Club director David Fincher would be at the helm of the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic and possibly not of her forthcoming film Cleopatra. The private email exchange was made public by hackers, who accessed the movie studio’s computer systems and databases last month. Films including Brad Pitt’s Fury and the upcoming Annie remake were posted online, while personal details about stars such as Jolie and Cameron Diaz, and salary information for actors Seth Rogen and James Franco, were also taken. Now a chain of emails between a furious Rudin and Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal has made its way onto the internet.

Shut Angie Down Or Else!
The messages reveal Jolie was “upset” with Sony bosses when she heard they’d offered Fincher the Jobs movie, fearing schedule clashes would make it impossible for him to direct her forthcoming movie Cleopatra, the making of which she’d reportedly put on hold to direct Unbroken. Rudin, who worked with Jolie’s hubby Brad on Moneyball, blasted her complaint in an email titled, “You Better Shut Angie Down Before She Makes it Very Hard for David to do Jobs”, and went on to blame the actress-turned-director for the scheduling clash. In an email in February, he wrote: “I’m not destroying my career over a minimally talented spoiled brat who thought nothing of shoving this off her plate for 18 months so she could go direct a movie.” After criticising her choice to make Unbroken, Rubin added: “I’ve no desire to be making a movie with her, or anybody that she runs and that we don’t. She’s a camp event and a celebrity and that’s all and the last thing anybody needs is to make a giant bomb with her that any fool could see coming. We will end up being the laughing stock of our industry and we’ll deserve it, which is so clearly where this is headed that I cannot believe we are still wasting our time with it.”

Sony takes on the Stars
You’d have thought that after bad-mouthing Jolie so much that Rudin would be done, but nope. He added: “There’s no relationship with any movie star that requires our willingness to prostrate ourselves this way in the face of childish, irresponsible, wilful behaviour.” Rudin, who’s said to be disliked in movie circles, may find he’s bitten off more than he can chew if Brangelina flex their showbiz muscles and get their powerful mates such as George Clooney, Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett to boycott working with him in the future.
