An Abu Dhabi coach just placed third GLOBALLY in the CrossFit Games
Abu Dhabi-based New Zealander, Jamie Greene has placed in third for the annual CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin.
The CrossFit Games is an annual competition to find the 'Fittest on Earth', putting athletes through torturous physical tests to see who can come out on top. Movements include weightlifting, running, swimming, rope-climbs, and various other activities.
The coach, who works at CrossFit Yas, beat out dozens of other elite athletes to top the friggin leaderboard at the Games, coming in third to Australian three-time champ Tia-Clair Toomey, and Norweigan, Kristin Holte in second.
Greene beat out previous winners including 2015-2016 winner, Katrin Davidsdottir and 2011-2012 winner Annie Thorisdottir, as well as previous podium-placer, Laura Horvath (2018). Last year Greene placed 11th.
She's also engaged to athlete and coach, Elliot Simmonds who competed in the Games and placed 19th.
Well done Jamie!
