Amy Winehouse: New Album Will Be Released Within Months
Amy Winehouse's funeral will take place for close friends and family in Golders Green, North London, today.
The tragic star, who died at the age of just 27 on Saturday, will be cremated in a private service which is expected to see the likes of Kelly Osbourne, Mark Ronson and other A-list pals attend.
The results of Amy's autopsy are likely to be revealed in October but police have declared there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
During the last few months of her life, Amy had been putting the finishing touches to her third studio album after spending a good 18 months working on the masterpiece.
According to my source, her camp had already come up with a revised release and marketing plan for Amy's album just before she died and are expected to release it as a tribute to the star.
My source said, "There was a revised release date in place following her being put into a rehabilitation clinic earlier this year, it will be debated whether they should stick to that or wait until later in the year and release her new material as a tribute."
"They need to discuss things with Mitch and Janis but as she put her heart and soul into the project then it would be a waste to leave it on the shelf. They are willing to wait as long as it takes, everyone on her team is devastated."
It was revealed yesterday, following Amy's death, her Back To Black album has shot to the top of the album charts.
Putting her great talent aside, I wish her friends and family the very best for today and hope they are able to say a fitting farewell to one of the world's greatest stars.
